Privacy policy

PlanROS is a tool for sketching ROS 2 systems. This page explains the data it handles. The short version: guest plans never leave your browser, and accounts store only what is needed to sign you in and keep your plans.

Guest mode

If you use PlanROS as a guest, everything you create is stored in your browser using local storage on your own device. It is not sent to any server, and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data removes it permanently, so export anything you want to keep.

Accounts

When you create an account, authentication and storage are handled by Supabase on our behalf. We store your email address, an encrypted password managed by Supabase, and the plans you save. We use these only to sign you in and to show you your own plans. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Cookies and local storage

A signed-in session is kept with a token in your browser so you stay logged in between visits. Guest plans and a guest identifier are kept in local storage. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

What we collect

  • Account email address, for sign-in and account recovery.
  • Plans you save, including nodes, connections, and parameters.
  • Standard server logs from our hosting provider, such as IP address and request time, kept briefly for security.

Removing your data

You can delete any plan from inside the app. To delete your account and everything tied to it, contact us at the address below and we will remove it. Guest data is removed when you clear your browser storage.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use PlanROS after a change means you accept the updated policy.
